Solvay: extends F-35 contract with Lockheed Martin

(CercleFinance.com) - Solvay announced on Tuesday that it has signed a new five-year contract with the US group Lockheed Martin for the supply of materials for the F-35 fighter plane.


The chemical specialist - which has already contributed to the delivery of components for over 550 aircraft currently in service in nine countries - is supplying the F-35 program with a range of more than 50 products, including composites, structural adhesives and lightning protection films.

The new contract with Lockheed Martin, which will be managed by Solvay's US subsidiary CDM, will officially begin on 1 January 2021.
