Solvay: Solvay wins case in Germany
(CercleFinance.com) - Solvay announces that it has won a new patent infringement lawsuit in Germany, against Neo Chemicals & Oxides.
In a judgment announced on 3 September 2020, the Düsseldorf Regional Court concluded that Neo's marketing of certain cerium/zirconium-based mixed oxides infringed Solvay's patent EP 1527018.
The Court ordered Neo to stop the infringement, which means that Neo must no longer market its products covered by the Solvay patent in Germany. Neo has also been ordered to recall any counterfeit products still in the possession of its customers, the Belgian chemist said.
