Solvay: H1 underlying EPS up 9%
(CercleFinance.com) - Solvay has published H1 2018 underlying EPS of continuing operations that is up 9% at 4.
65 euros, with underlying EBITDA of 1,150 million euros, which is down 3% as reported, although up 6% like-for-like.
The Belgian chemicals group's organic growth in underlying EBITDA was driven by performance at the advanced materials divisions (+5%) and advanced formulas (+17%), while the performance chemicals division saw it fall by 3%.
Solvay has confirmed its outlook for 2018, with organic EBITDA growth of between 5% and 7%, at constant exchange rates and consolidation scope, with an improvement in free cash flow from continuing operations, relative to 2017.
