Telecom Italia: Elliott 'fully supports' CEO Amos Genish
(CercleFinance.com) - Activist investor Elliott fully supports Telecom Italia's CEO Amos Genish, saying there is no alternative plan to the strategic plan he presented in March.
The US hedge fund - which says that Vivendi's reign has resulted in corporate governance issues and a persistent valuation discount at Telecom Italia - said the ten board members it proposes all share Genish's vision for TIM's future and are fully supportive of his business plan.
TIM shareholders will have to vote on the group's board composition at the AGM on 4 May.
