Degiro: strong growth; number of clients exceeds 300,000
(CercleFinance.com) - The European low-cost broker Degiro is continuing to post strong growth, with it now having over 300,000 customer accounts.
The broker was also profitable in the first half.
The Dutch group recorded revenues of 27.2 million euros in H1 2018, up sharply (+41%) y-o-y. At the same time, the number of customer accounts leapt 64% to 305,195, in adjusted terms. Over 71,000 accounts were opened over the first six months of the year.
In addition, these customers were active in the markets, with Degiro saying that the number of transactions executed by private customers exceeded 8.7 million over the period, representing an increase of 49%.
Degiro finally said that it has been profitable over the first two quarters of 2018.
