Walmart: reduces outlook

(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday evening Walmart reduced its outlook for both Q2 and the full year, mainly due to pricing actions to improve inventory levels in the US

The retail giant estimates net sales growth for Q2 and FY to be about 7.
5% and 4.5%, respectively. Excluding divestitures, growth for the year is expected to be approximately 5.5%.

Regarding adjusted EPS (Q2 and FY), Walmart expects respective declines of approximately 8% to 9% and 11% to 13%. Excluding divestitures, FY adjusted EPS is expected to fall by 10%-12%.

The share may be in a for a rough ride today, down almost 10% in pre-market trading.
