United Airlines: another loss in Q1

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday evening United Airlines unveiled Q1 2022 results that are in line with the consensus, with an adjusted net loss of 1.
4 billion dollars, or 4.24 dollars per share, just below a loss of 4.29 dollars per share a year earlier.

Compared to Q1 2019, the last comparable period before the health crisis that has dogged its sector, the airline's operating revenues fell by 21% to 7.6 billion dollars.

The Chicago-based group expects that it will maintain a mid-single-digit operating margin for Q2, despite cost headwinds from the recent surge in jet fuel prices, and expects to make profit over FY 2022.
