Tesla: Elon Musk boasts technological advances

(CercleFinance.com) - Elon Musk took advantage of Battery Day, organised on 22 September at the group's Tesla factory in California, to make several ambitious announcements about the brand's plans, Liberum says.


The analyst said that the entrepreneur presented the group's long-term targets: to produce 20 million vehicles, or 1% of the world's fleet; to develop batteries that cost half as much, doubling their autonomy, as well as marketing a $25,000 vehicle.

However, Liberum regrets that Mr. Musk did not address certain subjects such as the battery project with a capacity of one million miles (1.6 million kilometres), hydrogen fuel cells and power semiconductors.

Despite these announcements, Tesla's share price fell 5.6% on the New York Stock Exchange yesterday.
