Pfizer: plan to reorganise group in three divisions

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday the US health giant Pfizer announced a plan to reorganise itself into three divisions, a change that will be effective early in fiscal year 2019, which will not impact its financial targets for 2018.


The pharmaceutical group will thus form an "innovative medicines" activity, which will include generics, as well as a new hospital unit for sterile anti-infection and injectable products.

Pfizer will also create a non-patented "established drug" business - including Lyrica, Lipitor, Norvasc and Viagra - along with generics, operating with substantial autonomy within the group, as well as a "consumer health" divisions (for over-the-counter products).
