Netflix: Goldman Sachs reduces recommendation on the share

(CercleFinance.com) - Goldman Sachs has gone from 'sell' to 'neutral' on the streaming giant's share.


The analysts at Goldman Sachs, whose target price falls from 265 to 186 dollars, cite concerns surrounding the impact of a potential recession that affects consumer spending on the results of the group.

They also explain that they fear the consequences of stronger competition (both in terms of the arrival of new subscribers and cancellations of existing members) for profit margins and investment in content.

According to the analysts' firm, Netflix has now become a company that needs to prove its worth over the next six to twelve months.
