J&J: Canada approves Darzalex for light chain amyloidosis

(CercleFinance.com) - Johnson & Johnson announced on Monday that Canada has approved Darzalex SC for the treatment of light chain amyloidosis, a rare disease related to the deposit of an abnormal antibody in organs.


The pharmaceutical company notes that "Darzalex SC" becomes the first and only treatment approved by Health Canada for patients recently diagnosed with this potentially life-threatening blood disorder.

J&J notes that most patients with AL amyloidosis often experience organ deterioration or failure before being diagnosed.
