Home Depot: to hire 80,000 seasonal workers in spring

(CercleFinance.com) - US home-improvement chain Home Depot said on Tuesday that it plans to recruit 80,000 seasonal workers for spring, its busiest season of the year.


Many of the part-time positions will be staffed in the garden section, whre employees help customers to start their spring projects, the retailer said.

The company is also hiring for overnight freight and merchandising positions, as well as warehouse positions for its distribution centers.

Over 90% of its store managers began their careers as hourly associates, Home Depot pointed out.
