GE Vernova: agreement on modular nuclear reactors

(CercleFinance.com) - GE Vernova announces that its subsidiary, GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH), has signed a series of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with two leading UK nuclear engineering companies, Boccard and Cavendish Nuclear.


These agreements demonstrate GEH's intention to work more closely with UK suppliers to support the development of GEH's BWRX-300 compact modular reactor, as part of the ongoing competition for SMR selection by Great British Nuclear (GBN).

Andy Champ, Managing Director of GE Hitachi UK, emphasized that these collaborations reinforce GEH's commitment to providing the UK with 'clean, cost-effective' energy solutions.
