Ford: expands partnership with Intel's Mobileye
(CercleFinance.com) - Ford said on Monday that it is expanding a partnership with Intel's unit Mobileye to include enhanced collision-avoidance systems.
As part of the "high volume" deal, Ford's new vehicles will use Mobileye's chips and software to help identify what the windshield camera in a vehicle can see, including lane markings, traffic signs and other vehicles.
The expanded partnership will also add pedestrian and cyclist detection, along with hands-free driving for the all-new Mustang Mach-E and all-new F-150, Ford said.
The US carmaker said it plans to include Mobileye's logo in its driver-assist systems.
