Ford: August sales up 13.1% in Europe

(CercleFinance.com) - Ford has announced selling 82,800 vehicles in Europe over the month of August, up 13.
1% y-o-y.

The group says that this is its best performance for August since 1999. In detail, passenger car sales were the best since 2011, while utility vehicles saw their highest level since 1993.

Ford's market share therefore reaches 6.4%, down 0.7 point relative to August 2017.

In addition, although the group saw its market share fall by 0.7 point in passenger cars to 5.2%, the Dearborn (Michigan) based car maker saw its market share for utility vehicles increase by 0.3 point in Europe, reaching 13.9%.
