Dollar Tree: money does grow on trees on board shakeup

(CercleFinance.com) - Discount retailer Dollar Tree has announced that its board of directors has been restructured, with Richard Dreiling joining as executive chairman and working with CEO Mike Witynski to lead the food retailer.


The new 12-member board will also include Paul Hilal, founder and CEO of Mantle Ridge, as vice-chairman, as well as five existing directors and five new directors.

The board adds that it will have a new finance committee and will restructure existing committees to create a new one that will focus on sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Investors like this reorganization, with the share up 4% in early trading today.
