Disney: Credit Suisse raises price target

(CercleFinance.com) - Credit Suisse reiterated its "outperform" rating on the Disney stock on Wednesday, one day before the US entertainment giant holds its investor day, and raised its price target from 146 dollars to 178 dollars.


The Disney+ launch in Latin America is off to an impressive start, the broker wrote in a note, with greater app downloads per new broadband home than for the US.

In addition, despite concerns regarding its lack of fresh originals, Nielsen data shows Disney+ is capturing a fairly steady 5% of US streaming time to TV, it added.

As a result, Credit Suisse has raised its Disney+ net adds estimates for the first fiscal quarter ended December from 5 million subscribers to 15 million subscibers, and now estimates 157 million subscribers for 2024.
