Delta Air Lines: order 100 Boeing 737 Max aircraft

(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing and Delta Air Lines today announced that the airline plans to upgrade its single-aisle fleet with the 737 MAX: Delta has therefore ordered 100 737-10 aircraft with options for an additional 30 planes.

According to Boeing, the 737-10 will provide Delta Air Lines with the best economy per seat of any Boeing single-aisle model, reducing fuel burn and emissions by 20% to 30% compared to the aircraft it replaces.

In addition, the aircraft can cover 99% of the world's single-aisle routes with 230 passengers, and has a maximum range of 3300 nautical miles.

Both shares are up in pre-market trading today: Boeing +4% and Delta Air Lines +2.5%.
