Comcast: Q1 EPS above consensus
(CercleFinance.com) - Comcast has reported Q1 2020 adjusted EPS that is down 6.
6% at 71 cents, albeit beating the consensus by four cents, while its adjusted EBITDA fell by 4.9% to 8.13 billion dollars.
At 26.6 billion dollars, the cable operator and media group's revenues slipped slightly (-0.9%), with the 4.5% growth in its cable business more than offset by declines of 7% at NBCUniversal and 3.7% at Sky.
Comcast warns that the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is expected to exacerbate in the second quarter of 2020, having a significant adverse impact on its results over the short-to-medium term.
