Boeing: order forecasts for China
(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing forecasts that China will need 8,560 new commercial airplanes through to 2042, driven by economic growth that is well above the global average, along with increasing demand for domestic air travel.
China's commercial fleet will require $675bn in aviation services, including maintenance, repair, training and spare parts over this period.
China's commercial airliner fleet will more than double to nearly 9,600 aircraft over the next 20 years, as forecast by Boeing's Commercial Market Outlook (CMO).
As air travel continues to recover, China will account for one-fifth of global airplane deliveries over the next two decades, the CMO says.
Domestic air traffic in China has already surpassed pre-pandemic levels, and international traffic is steadily recovering, Boeing adds.
