Boeing: the promising X Project

(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing announced today that the NATO X Project, a unique public-private partnership between NATO, Boeing, the Dutch government and Dutch industry, has enabled innovators from Dutch universities to propose new approaches to meet the Alliance's most pressing needs.


Supported by experts from Boeing and NATO, both competing teams, Monarch and Alpha, took two very different approaches.

Team Monarch's concept was a hierarchical model of specialised unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that could autonomously monitor dangerous areas, assess risks and prioritise drone positioning.

Meanwhile, Team Alpha designed a multi-agent UAV system that encourages drones to explore, identify, verify and resolve targets of interest.
