Boeing: Akasa Air orders 72 aircraft
(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing has announced that the new Indian carrier Akasa Air has ordered 72 737 MAX aircraft to build its fleet, in an order worth nearly 9 billion dollars at list price, to serve a rapidly growing Indian market.
The order, signed at the Dubai Airshow, includes two variants of the 737 MAX family, the 737-8 and the larger 737-8-200. Boeing said that the 737 MAX will give Akasa Air a competitive edge in its dynamic domestic market.
