American Express: Q1 EPS pretty flat

(CercleFinance.com) - American Express has reported Q1 2022 net income that is down 6% at 2.
1 billion dollars, or roughly flat EPS at 2.73 dollars, on revenue net of interest expense that was up 29% to over 11.7 billion dollars.

Revenues grew on the back of cardholder spending growth of 35% globally on a currency-adjusted basis, with volumes reaching a monthly record in March, it said.

Performing in line with its expectations for the current fiscal year, the payment solutions group confirms its target ranges of 9.25 to 9.65 dollars for EPS and 18% to 20% for revenue growth.
