American Airlines: Qatar Airways will not take stake.

(CercleFinance.com) - There has been a spectacular turn of events.

Qatar Airways said yesterday that after all it will not take any stake in American Airlines.

The Qatari company has therefore abandoned its project announced on 22 June, by which aimed to take up to 4.75% of the capital of its American counterpart as a "passive investor".

However, it should be remembered that at one time Qatar Airways was considering taking a 10% stake in Amercian Airlines' capital.
