Amazon: two new cloud contracts

(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon announced on Tuesday that it has secured two new cloud contracts: one with US insurer AIG and the other with United Airlines.


In an initial statement, its subsidiary Amazon Web Services said it had reached an agreement with AIG to become its preferred public cloud provider.

Public cloud environments are built on IT infrastructure that is not owned by the end user.

In a second announcement, AWS said that it has been selected as United Airlines' preferred cloud provider for areas such as machine learning, the Internet of Things and analytics.

The terms of these contracts were not disclosed.
