ING: Chairman to step down this year
(CercleFinance.com) - ING announces that Hans Wijers has expressed his desire, for personal reasons, to step down as chairman and retire from the Dutch financial institution's supervisory board in the second half of 2023.
In light of Hans Wijers' intention, the supervisory board has begun preparations for the election of a successor as board chairman, ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities.
Hans Wijers was appointed to the supervisory board in 2017 and became chairman in 2018. In 2021, he was reappointed for a second term. Any announcement regarding his succession will be made in due course.
