ASML: still Oddo's top pick in sector

(CercleFinance.com) - Global semiconductor sales for December are in line with expectations, with December showing a further improvement at -5% (against -10%), meaning that 2019 has ended with a 12.
1% fall. Excluding memories, the market has returned to growth of 2.7%, while there has been a slight improvement in flash memory prices.

Oddo says that its expected improvement in H2 19 actually materialised and that there should be no particular hitches in Q4 results.

Analysts add that they maintain their 2020 growth forecast of +5%, with a positive, albeit unknown factor (recovery in memory), albeit curtailed by an unknown negative factor (coronavirus).

Still preferring shares that benefit from specific growth drivers. the ASML share remains its top pick in the sector.
