Euronext: completes acquisition of VP Securities

(CercleFinance.com) - Euronext has announced that it has completed the settlement of the shares under its offer launched on 23 April for the acquisition of VP Securities' capital, the Danish central securities depository, enabling it to finalise this transaction.


The pan-European stockmarket group states that shareholders representing more than 90% of VP Securities' capital have already accepted its offer. A follow-on offer remains open until the end of August for the remaining shares to be tendered.

After the settlement of this follow-on offer, expected around 10 September, Euronext will initiate a squeeze-out procedure for the remaining shares that have not been tendered, in accordance with Danish law.
