Airbus: Cyprus orders six H145M helicopters

(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus Helicopters has announced that it has signed a contract with the Cypriot government for the purchase of six H145Ms with an option for another six.


The multi-purpose light utility military helicopters will be operated by the Cyprus National Guard.

Derived from the civilian H145, the latest version of the H145M features an innovative new five-blade rotor that increases the helicopter's payload by 150 kg. The new bearingless main rotor design also simplifies maintenance operations.

Equipped with the Airbus HForce weapons system, the H145M can be used as a light attack helicopter, with a range of weapons including guns, rockets and missiles being integrated.
