Airbus: deal with India's BEL in C295 program

(CercleFinance.com) - Late on Monday Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) announced that it has been awarded a contract by Airbus to manufacture certain key components of its C295 military tactical cargo aircraft.


The Indian aerospace and defence group said the contract with the European aircraft manufacturer covers the supply of radar warning systems and missile warning systems.

This agreement - the largest international contract so far won by BEL - is part of the "Make in India" policy currently promoted by the Indian government.
