Ariane group: second successful launch of Ariane 5 in 2019

(CercleFinance.com) - The group has announced the second successful launch of Ariane 5 this year.

The launcher placed the T-16 and Eutelsat 7C telecommunications satellites into geostationary transfer orbit (GTO) from the European spaceport at Kourou (French Guiana).

Three more Ariane 5 launches are planned by the end of the year. The Ariane launcher will celebrate its 40th anniversary in December 2019. The total performance requested from the launcher was 10,594 kg, including 9,736 kg for both satellites.
