Airbus: delivers first A350 XWB to Japan Airlines

(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus announces the delivery of its first A350 XWB for Japan Airlines (JAL).

This A350-900 is the first aircraft produced by Airbus for JAL.

JAL has ordered a total of 31 A350 XWBs, including 18 A350-900s and 13 A350-1000s.
The company will deploy its A350-900s on its domestic routes, while the larger A350-1000 will fly on its international long-haul network.

The first aircraft will fly on the company's Haneda-Fukuoka line as from early September.

JAL's A350-900 has a premium three-class layout with 12 first class seats, 94 J class seats and 263 Comfort Economy seats.

"At the end of May 2019, the A350 XWB Family had received 893 firm orders from 51 customers worldwide, making it one of the most successful wide-body aircraft ever," Airbus said.
