Airbus: 50 more A320neo aircraft for Chinese CALC
(CercleFinance.com) - This morning, the Airbus Group announced that it had received yet another contract, this time for 50 additional medium-haul A320neo planes from aircraft leasing company China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings (CALC).
With this order, CALC has now ordered a total of 200 Airbus craft.
The A320neo is the new and improved version of the Airbus “blockbuster” A320. With more fuel-efficient engines than those of the classic A320, and aerodynamic winglets called “sharklets”, the A320neo consumes “at least” 15% less fuel, and should go up to 20% by 2020, as estimated by Airbus.
The A320neo has received over 5,800 orders from 98 different clients and its market share is close to 60%.
