AkzoNobel: buys Spanish decorative paints maker Xylazel

(CercleFinance.com) - Dutch paints and coatings maker AkzoNobel said on Thursday that it is going to buy the Spanish decorative paints maker Xylazel, hence becoming the leader of the country's woodcare market and strengthening its position in metal care.


Akzo - which has been present in Spain for the past 45 years - said Xylazel has about 100 employees, with one production facility in Porriño, in the northwest of the country.

Its 2017 sales totalled around 20 million euros.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
