ArcelorMittal: first investment through XCarb

(CercleFinance.com) - ArcelorMittal announces that it has made its first investment through the XCarb innovation fund since the initiative was launched in March 2021.
This initial investment in Heliogen amounts to 10 million dollars.

Heliogen's technology will harness solar energy by using a field of mirrors that will act as a multi-acre magnifying glass to focus and capture sunlight, which will then be converted into heat, electricity or clean fuels.

As part of a broader partnership, in addition to the 10 million dollar investment, ArcelorMittal and Heliogen have signed a memorandum of understanding to estimate the potential of Heliogen's products at several of the group's steel mills.
