Aperam: acquires Universal Stainless

(CercleFinance.com) - Aperam announces that it has completed the acquisition of US-based Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, the transaction having been approved by its shareholders and having received all required regulatory approvals without any conditions.


The acquisition underscores Aperam's commitment to expand its presence in the aerospace industry, strengthen its global Alloys & Specialties business, reduce cyclicality and increase its exposure in the United States, it says.

Universal Stainless & Alloy Products was acquired for an enterprise value of $537m. Total annual synergies of $30m are expected within five years, with the potential for further improvement.
