SES: new strategic agreement with Canal+

(CercleFinance.com) - SES and Canal+ have signed new long-term strategic agreements providing for the extension of satellite capacity in three geographical areas (Africa, France and Central Europe).


The renewal of these multi-transponder contracts, worth over 230 million euros, extends the collaboration in place between SES and CANAL+ until the end of the decade and enables SES to support the French pay-TV channel in broadcasting its bouquets to millions of households worldwide.

As a partner of SES since 1995, Canal+ will continue to use satellite capacity to broadcast the channel packages of its various activities in ultra high definition (UHD), high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD).
