Toyota: working with BMW on hydrogen technology
(CercleFinance.com) - Toyota and BMW have signed an agreement to strengthen their collaboration in the hydrogen sector.
The partners intend to jointly develop hydrogen fuel cell systems and infrastructure improvements.
The two companies have already been cooperating on environmental technologies since 2011. Their aim is to offer more hydrogen-powered electric vehicles (FCEVs) and expand hydrogen supply networks. BMW plans to launch its first mass-produced FCEV in 2028.
The two companies will also work together to reduce costs and create synergies in development and supply.
