Eni: discusses prospects in Ghana

(CercleFinance.com) - Eni reported on Friday a meeting between its CEO, Claudio Descalzi, and the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, to discuss the company's activities in the country.


Mr. Descalzi notably presented the results of the Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) project, Ghana's main private investment, completed ahead of schedule and under budget, with oil production in 2017 and gas in 2018.

OCTP gas, accounting for 70% of national production, is entirely for local consumption, Eni points out.

The meeting also addressed new exploration opportunities and Eni's plans for the country's economic diversification.
