Eni: agreement for three offshore wind projects in Italy

(CercleFinance.com) - GreenIT, the Italian renewable energy joint venture between Plenitude (Eni) and CDP Equity (CDP Group), and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), via its flagship funds, have signed an agreement to develop three floating offshore wind projects in Lazio (a region of Italy) and Sardinia, about 30km offshore.


Specifically, the agreement covers the development of a project in Lazio with a total capacity of up to 540 MW and two other wind farms located off Olbia (Sardinia) with a capacity of approximately 500 MW and 1,000 MW.

Together, the three projects will produce around 5 TWh/year with commercial operation expected between 2028 and 2031, once the permit process and subsequent construction phase is completed.
