Ryanair: new weekly record of over 3 million bookings

(CercleFinance.com) - Ryanair has set a new weekly bookings record last week, taking over three million bookings in one week for the first time in its history.


The low-cost airline group said that Wednesday 10 January was the busiest day for bookings, with the most popular destinations being Lanzarote and Tenerife in Spain, along with Porto, Milan and Naples.

Last week's performance is the equivalent of five bookings per second or the population of Madrid, the company said.

Ryanair is currently offering seats for sale from just 14.99 euros for travel between now and April.
