Accenture: buys UK digital firm Infinity Works

(CercleFinance.com) - Accenture has acquired Infinity Works, a British consulting firm that specialises in digital transformation, to strengthen its cloud capabilities in the UK, the IT services giant said on Tuesday

Founded in 2014, Infinity employs about 440 software engineers, data engineers, and cloud architects working with key ecosystem platforms, including Amazon.
com's AWS, it said.

The terms of the deal, however, were not disclosed.

Earlier this week, Accenture announced the acquisition of Edenhouse, a UK-based independent SAP partner that specialises in the sale, implementation, and support, of SAP products and services to medium-sized businesses.

The moves come as Accenture recently announced the creation of "Accenture Cloud First," a new business unit consisting of 70,000 cloud professionals to expand its cloud service offerings.

The consulting giant said it plans to invest 3 billion dollars in this new subsidiary over the next three years.
