easyJet: record pre-tax profit in Q3
(CercleFinance.com) - Low-cost airline easyJet reports a record pre-tax profit (PBT) of £203m for Q3, up £317m on the same period last year.
A 23% y-o-y increase in revenue per seat, together with a 2% reduction in the overall cost per seat excluding fuel and a PBT of easyJet holidays of £49m, back the British group's hope of a solid result for 2022-23. Based on current booking trends, easyJet expects another record PBT performance in Q4, although it points out that the industry as a whole is experiencing difficult conditions this summer.
