BT: 5-year contract with Sellafield
(CercleFinance.com) - Britain's incumbent telecom operator BT has announced that it has been awarded a five-year, 32 million pound network services contract with Sellafield Ltd.
The agreement between BT and Sellafield Ltd, operator of the UK's largest nuclear site, will cover the operation and maintenance of all of the company's network services, as well as upgrades and updates to existing equipment.
In particular, the contract will enable Sellafield Ltd to take advantage of new technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G in the future.
The BT share closed flat at 131 pence on this news yesterday.
