AstraZeneca: Stanford professor joins board

(CercleFinance.com) - Euan Ashley, a professor of medicine at Stanford University, has been appointed to the board of directors of the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca as a non-executive director.


Dr. Ashley, who teaches cardiovascular medicine and genetics at the University of California, has focused his research on the genetic mechanisms of cardiovascular disease, the group said.

Ashley, who studied at the Universities of Glasgow and Oxford, will also join the group's scientific committee, AstraZeneca added.
