bp: strategic partnership with Oman

(CercleFinance.com) - bp has announced the signing of a strategic framework agreement and renewable energy data collection agreement with the Sultanate of Oman that will support a potential world-class multi-gigawatt development in the country by 2030.


The UK energy group will capture and assess solar and wind data across 8,000 square kilometres, which will then help the government approve future development of renewable energy hubs at suitable locations in this land area.

bp says that the renewable energy resources could also provide renewable energy for the development of green hydrogen, targeting both domestic and global export markets.
