bp: planned green hydrogen facility in UK

(CercleFinance.com) - (CercleFinance.
com) -bp says that it is planning a new large-scale green hydrogen production facility in the north-east of England that could provide up to 500MWe of hydrogen production by 2030.

Developed in several stages, HyGreen Teesside is set to be commissioned by 2025, with a first phase of around 60MWe of installed capacity. A final investment decision on the project is expected in 2023.

Hygreen Teesside will add to bp's integrated portfolio in the UK, which includes three GW of gross offshore wind power in the Irish Sea, providing 16,000 charging points by 2030 and a partnership agreement with Aberdeen City.
