BAE Systems: FAST Labs signs $4 million contract with DARPA

(CercleFinance.com) - BAE Systems announces that its R&D unit, FAST Labs, has been awarded a $4 million contract by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for Phase 1 of the Artificial Intelligence Reinforcements (AIR) program.


This program aims to improve tactical autonomy for air combat missions beyond visual range.

BAE Systems will develop and test autonomy solutions on F-16 test stands, using machine learning to improve simulation models of sensors, electronic warfare systems and weapons.
