Diageo: launches recovery fund for pubs and bars

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday Diageo, the maker of Guinness beer, unveiled a 100 million dollar support plan to help bars and pubs hit by the Covid-19 pandemic to help them recover and welcome back customers.


The world's leading spirits company said that the "Raising the Bar" program is intended to finance drinks outlets' acquisition of hygiene kits, including hand sanitiser, masks and gloves, in order to comply with new health standards.

The program, which will be available from July 2020 for a period of two years, will be available in many cities worldwide, from Edinburgh to Dublin, New York, London, Sao Paulo, Shanghai and Delhi.
