bioMérieux: launches Episeq SARS-COV-2

(CercleFinance.com) - bioMérieux today announced that it has launched Episeq SARS-COV-2, a cloud-based software solution to help laboratories identify variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes Covid-19, from sequencing data.


Launched globally, it is automatically updated weekly to identify variants, based on international nomenclatures, including new variants of concern as defined by the WHO and US CDCs (Centers for Disease Control).

"EPISEQ® SARS-COV-2 is compatible with three major sequencing platforms (Illumina, Oxford Nanopore, Thermo Fisher) and easy to use by any microbiology lab," the in vitro diagnostics specialist said.
